The Manufacturers’ Alliance are delighted to welcome Fiona Chan, Events Co-Ordinator to the team! In her new role with the Alliance, she will be responsible for managing the events and meetings that connect like-minded manufacturing leaders to gain new insights, fresh ideas and shared experiences enabling them to break through the boundaries of possibility.
Here, we’ve asked her a few ‘get to know you’ questions to introduce her to our community and share a bit more on her background, her role and what she enjoys doing…
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your background?
I was born and raised in Hong Kong, and I’ve been in the events world for a good while now. I love bringing people together and creating experiences that really make an impact.
What will your new role entail at the Manufacturers’ Alliance?
I’ll be taking care of all the meetings and events, making sure everything runs smoothly. I’m excited to bring my experience to the team and help create great moments for everyone involved.
What are you most excited about in joining the Manufacturers’ Alliance team and in your new role?
Definitely connecting with people! Everyone here is so open and ready to share ideas. There’s a real sense of community, and I’m happy to be part of a team that values collaboration and support.
How have you found your first week at the Manufacturers’ Alliance?
It’s been exciting! Change isn’t always easy, but it’s inspiring to be surrounded by people who are all working towards the same vision.
Can you tell us a fun fact about yourself that most people don’t know?
When I was 3, I was on TV as a dancer for a famous Hong Kong singer! Looking back, I think that’s probably where my love for performing first started.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love watching YouTube and drama series. When I was younger, I dreamed of working in broadcasting—mostly so I could watch all the dramas I wanted!
What hobbies or passions do you have?
Dancing has always been one of my passions. I learned ballet and jazz when I was younger. Even though I don’t dance as often now, I still love watching dance videos and performances. It’s something that continues to bring me joy.
What are your likes?
Dancing, Good Food, Adventure. Trying new dishes, exploring new places, and experiencing new things always excites me.
What are your dislikes?
Hot Fruit, Reading, Arrogant people.
