The Manufacturers’ Alliance Celebrates its 10 Year Anniversary with a Sense of Purpose

2023 will be a proud milestone in the Manufacturers’ Alliance journey, as the organisation celebrates its 10-year anniversary. Founded in 2013, the business has been driven by a cause to support owners and managers of small and medium sized businesses, in their quest to protect and grow the manufacturing sector. Inspiring business owners and managers to achieve their ambitions by working through their people and business challenges, in a pragmatic and collaborative way.

For anyone that has worked with the Manufacturers’ Alliance over the past 10 years, you will have experienced their passion to support people first hand. Their purpose has always been at the core of the business and has supported its growth and evolution over the past 10 years.

The Founder and Managing Director of the Manufacturers’ Alliance, Gary Sheader, shares his feelings on the past 10 years. “I have a huge amount of honour and tremendous pride for the difference we’ve been part of making over the past 10 years. I feel lucky and privileged to have met and worked alongside the people I have. The journey has had many ups and downs, as they all do, but there are far more ups that have been extremely fulfilling.”

“What we do rarely feels like work to me. We have a fantastic team and work with amazing customers and suppliers, that have become more like partners and friends over the years. I have also learnt more in the past 10 years from these people, than in the 37 years before. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that has been part of the journey. Thank you to everyone that has remained loyal to the cause. Thank you for your continued trust in me to lead the Manufacturers’ Alliance and navigate a path that provides a continued sense of achievement and purpose.”

The purpose statement that the business aligns behind is, to inspire progressive manufacturing leaders to break through the boundaries of possibility. Which is brought to life via the Manufacturers’ Alliance core services of peer groups, 1-2-1 coaching, leadership development, and hands-on facilitation support.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary the Manufacturers’ Alliance will be doing 10 fundraisers for 10 charities throughout 2023. The first of these launched on New Years Day, when Gary & Trish Sheader started their 100 miles per month every month walk for Donna’s Dream House in Blackpool. If you would like to show your support for the walking fundraiser, your donation would be much appreciated: Gary Sheader is fundraising for Donna’s Dream House (justgiving.com)

All the Manufacturers’ Alliance fundraisers will have the same approach, which will be to bring communities together to make a difference. Keep your eyes peeled for some of the future fundraisers, such as, Stand-Up Comedy, a Golf Day, and a Music Event.
