The Manufacturers Alliance would like to welcome Sim Goldblum to the team. Sim will be Co-Chair of the North Manchester and South Manchester Peer Support Groups.
Sim has over 30 years of global leadership experience in the automotive world, with some short escapes into aerospace and oil. During this time, he trod the sandy floors of Brazilian engine plants, and the pristine lab-like environment of Yamaha’s engine facilities. He led JV teams with most of the world’s major powertrain and vehicle manufacturers, grew the company’s presence in new markets and sectors, and led acquisitions in the automotive after-market. He “retired” in 2004 as head of Product Planning and Project Management with global responsibilities.
Since then, he’s worked with ambitious SME business owners to accelerate growth by, creating sustainable strategic plans, avoiding “square-peg” syndrome and building hi-performing teams. He is an active mentor for Manchester Metropolitan University students, supported CIPD’s Steps Ahead programme for new workplace entrants needing career advice and is a business growth mentor for “Be the Business”.

I felt an immediate affinity with its progressive and inspirational goals, supporting both personal and the consequent business growth. I look forward to encouraging the Peer Group members to succeed and to continue my support of ambitious, progressive owners and leaders to succeed.”
