The Manufacturers Alliance would like to welcome Mark Stone to the team. Mark will be Co-Chair of the North Wales & Merseyside Peer Support Group and will also be part of our Hands-On Support team.
Mark is an experienced leader in the fields of engineering and production, and has worked with UK, European and Asia based businesses across several industry sectors including machine design, automotive and white goods. He has held engineering, management and leadership roles in product manufacturing businesses, focussing on new product development, manufacturing engineering, manufacturing, and the continuous improvement of products, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
Mark is passionate about the importance of the manufacturing sector as the basis for a strong local and national economy and shared his thoughts on joining the Manufacturers Alliance team, “I joined the Manufacturers Alliance to support local manufacturers. Through the application of my knowledge and skills I hope to have a positive impact on their development, whilst also putting something back into a sector that has provided me with an enjoyable and rewarding career.
I have really enjoyed the first couple of months with the Manufacturers Alliance, working with a great team of people who have a common focus and passion for UK manufacturing.”
The Manufacturers Alliance supports North West and Yorkshire based manufacturers with their personal and business growth ambitions via a range of high impact services. Mark has joined Simon Carin in leading the North Wales & Merseyside based peer support group.
Mark shared his thoughts on how he intends to support the members of this peer group, “through a combination of listening and questioning I hope to gain a clear understanding of member needs, and then provide the right support mechanisms so that members can develop robust plans, implement effective strategies and achieve business and personal goals.”
Founder of the Manufacturers Alliance, Gary Sheader, is on a quest to bring like-minded people similar to Mark into the business and said, “we very quickly realised that Mark shares the same values as the rest of Manufacturers Alliance team. He has a passion for helping others and is keen to share his experience and knowledge with ambitious manufacturers in the region. There is no ego with Mark.
