Employee Engagement – Yours and theirs

In this session we will look at what’s really driving (or draining) engagement in your business. Building on last month’s workshop covering ‘motivation’, we’ll focus on what engagement looks like, ‘who’s sinking your boat’, the impact of poor engagement and ideas to help make improvements.

Context snapshot (UK engagement)

• Only around 1 in 10 UK employees are highly engaged, with most hovering in the middle or checked out
• Even where engagement looks healthier on paper, it’s often fragile and uneven across teams
• In manufacturing, ongoing pressure on output, skills gaps and change mean engagement can slip quickly if not actively managed

Tangible outcomes

• A shortlist of “what actually works” drawn from real experiences in the room (not theory)
• Honest insight into where organisations unintentionally kill engagement
• One bold action each leader is willing to test in the next 90 days
