Industry 4 Event

Ian Tait will take the group through the Palletower journey so far into digitalization, transitioning from paper-based count recording and subsequent data entry, through to capturing the count data digitally at source. This has been achieved using tools available from the Microsoft Power Platform, for example, the custom-built Power App for data capture, storage of count data in SharePoint Lists, as well as data modelling in Power BI.

Ian will show how this data has been collated together for count reconciliation and report visualisation in Power BI. He will also give examples where these applications have been used in other areas of the business, including the monitoring of daily cage output, data capture with barcode scanning, and live reporting including cloud monitoring.
