The Manufacturers Alliance has a proven track record in supporting manufacturing leaders in achieving their ambitions of personal and business growth. We have a range of peer groups across the North of the country for manufacturers only. They are all facilitated by 2 experienced Chair people from the manufacturing sector.

As a member of the Lancashire Manufacturers Alliance, you will meet monthly to gain and share ideas / best practice with other ambitious leaders within your region. You will learn and share with others who have been there and have the t-shirt… no more reinventing the wheel.

Our goal is to support the growth of a sustainable manufacturing base in the UK. Help manufacturing businesses in developing a clear strategic direction, with a capability and culture to support profitable growth. This is one of the greatest benefits to our members who, prior to joining, may have felt isolated as business leaders, and in need of help to achieve their goals.

On 8th August 2019, the Manufacturers Alliance will be launching the second of a series of free taster sessions for ambitious manufacturing leaders based in Merseyside. This will be the 7th peer support group run by the Manufacturers Alliance in the North, with 6 other groups based across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire and Yorkshire.

“Business support in the 21st century is changing and the Manufacturers Alliance is at the forefront of this change. Our approach is simple, practical and has been driving our members forward since 2013. We are now on a journey to roll this out across the North West” – Gary Sheader, Founder of the Manufacturers Alliance

The aim of this new peer support group will be focused on the collaborative growth and continuous improvement of manufacturing businesses based in the Merseyside area. Non competing business leaders openly sharing best practice each month. Manufacturers supporting other manufacturers.

The new group will be made up of 12 – 14 manufacturing leaders that are on a growth journey, and keen to learn from others on a similar path. People who want to avoid reinventing the wheel and share best practice to accelerate the growth of themselves and their businesses.

Our host for the August event, Hosokawa Micron, an innovative business based in Runcorn, will be opening their doors to share best practice.The Hosokawa management team will be speaking to local manufacturers on how they have targeted the goals and the journey that has led to a sales process through to connected machinery in the field digital strategy. To illustrate this they will show the overall digital road map, and the detail of the Contract Processing Facility which has been set up as a demonstrator of Digital Technology available through Hosokawa’s own Gen4 technology.

The tour and demonstrations within the business will consist of:

  • Overview of the PLM system implemented within Hosokawa
  • Application of 3-D Design & VR/AR in the business
  • Overview of the Contract Manufacturing Process
  • Digital Twin of a Milling Plant

For this meeting you will be joining other local SME leaders that are interested in joining the Merseyside based Peer Support Group.

We are looking for potential Speakers to take part in our next Speaker Day on 9th August 2019, where we will be recruiting new Speakers to join our existing portfolio to support the growth of our members and their businesses.

The Manufacturers Alliance supports ambitious leaders of NW based manufacturing businesses via our growing network of peer groups. Our peer groups are a platform for manufacturers to share ideas, learn from each other and accelerate their personal and business growth potential.

We launched our first peer group in 2013 and based on the success of this launched our 2nd group at the beginning of 2016, 3 groups during 2018 and 2 groups this year. The current regions covered with our membership are; Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, Merseyside and West Yorkshire.

We are looking for people that want to grow with our groups and become partners with the Manufacturers Alliance moving forward. People that have a passion for UK manufacturing and supporting leaders in becoming more effective in their roles.
