New Support Group for HR Leaders in Manufacturing

The Manufacturers Alliance are launching a new peer support group for HR leaders working in the manufacturing sector on 23rd September 2020. The HR Leaders Peer Support Group is a safe and confidential space for HR managers to meet on a regular basis to share HR related issues. All members of the group have HR roles within the manufacturing sector and work for progressive businesses that are constantly seeking to improve.

During the recent pandemic HR Leaders have been pushed to their limits to support their employers through the many people challenges forced onto the business. Safe working practices, homeworking, furlough, redundancies, and employee wellbeing have been just a few of the plates that needed to be kept spinning.

To all the HR managers and their teams, we salute you! A whirlwind of change that none of us could have anticipated happening.

As we emerge from the pandemic, having a great people strategy and a confident and competent HR leader has never been as important. For most, this journey is just beginning and all the hard work in creating and deploying the people strategy for the new normal is yet to come.
