21st October 2019 was the start of a new exciting chapter for the Manufacturers Alliance. Moving premises to a place that really connects with the Manufacturers Alliance values, the Church of All Souls in Bolton. All Souls in not only an outstanding piece of architecture, it’s ethos is dedicated to bringing like-minded people together as a community and helping them.
“We knew when we walked into the building that this was our new home.” Shared Gary Sheader, Founder of the Manufacturers Alliance. “There are so many parallels with the Manufacturers Alliance and All Souls. We bring people together to share success stories and help each other. We are passionate about our cause of helping others. We put people at the heart of everything we do, and we want to put community at the heart of the manufacturing industry again. I’m really excited about the future in our new home.”
Since it’s launch in 2013, the Manufacturers Alliance has grown from a single peer group of 10 manufacturing business leaders, to planning the launch of its 7th and 8th peer support groups in Merseyside and North Wales. The privately run membership organisation for senior leaders in SME manufacturing businesses is almost doubling in size year on year, and doesn’t intend to slow down.
Trish Sheader, Director and Office Manager, said, “We have moved into bigger premises with plenty of space to facilitate our growth. We love the All Souls community spirit and the additional space will enable us to recruit, continue our growth and ensure we maintain the high levels of support we offer our members.”
Trish also shared her thoughts on the future, “We offer so much more now than we did 6 years ago. With the development of our peer groups, training programs and conferences, we need to strengthen our support team with a few new recruits. We’re only a small family run business, but that has its advantages in our line of work; we’re small enough to genuinely care about our customers and our size keeps us nimble.”
The Manufacturers Alliance supports people in senior leadership positions in SME manufacturing businesses with their own personal development and the growth and improvement of their organisations.
