On 25th March 2020, the Manufacturers Alliance will be launching its 8th peer support group for ambitious manufacturing leaders based in North Wales. Our proven formula focuses on the collaborative growth and continuous improvement of local manufacturing businesses. A selection of non-competing business leaders openly sharing business and leadership best practice each month. Local manufacturers supporting other local manufacturers.
Each of the Manufacturers Alliance groups are run by 2 experienced Chair People. Business leaders that have reached a point in their career where they want to give something back and utilise their experience to help others grow and achieve their ambition. As well as leading the group’s monthly sessions the Chairs also provide 1-2-1 coaching to the members to support them in developing their plans and delivering on their commitments. The two Chairs for the new North Wales group will be Simon Carin and Bill Pearson.
Bill has had a long and distinguished career in manufacturing and consultancy. He started as a Works Engineer and Production Manager in packaging materials. He moved on to a Global business initially as a Manufacturing Engineer, then Manufacturing Advisor to the Board and finally VP Global Business Improvement. He led the turnaround of factories in the UK, Italy, Spain and the US. He has been a Growth Coach in North Wales for two years specialising in operational improvements. He is passionate about helping businesses get the best from themselves and their people and speaks four languages.
Simon has been a General Manager for over 3 decades and has worked at Board level as an MD in the UK and in Europe, for nearly 20 years. His experience covers a wide range of activities and disciplines including; Distribution, Manufacturing and Installation. At the heart of all of this was our customer, typically an Owner Managed or SME business. Simon believes results matter and that leadership is all about delivering the right results, in the right way. His passion is for people and in supporting them to become and to be at their best.
Our new North Wales group will be capped at 14 manufacturing leaders that are on a growth journey, and keen to learn from others on a similar path. People who want to avoid reinventing the wheel and share best practice to accelerate the growth of themselves and their businesses.
Manufacturing businesses that have gained the most from being part of the Manufacturers Alliance have been those that are open to learning and sharing with others. They understand that the path to success is via having a great business model, a constant drive for improvement and developing themselves to become the best leader they can be for the business.
